Track Name: When I Die I'll Feel Young (Regardless Of My Current State)
She said: "When I die I'll feel young, regardless of my current state."
_______________________________________________________________

"It Is Not Always May" (by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow)

The sun is bright,--the air is clear,
The darting swallows soar and sing.
And from the stately elms I hear
The bluebird prophesying Spring.

So blue you winding river flows,
It seems an outlet from the sky,
Where waiting till the west-wind blows,
The freighted clouds at anchor lie.

All things are new;--the buds, the leaves,
That gild the elm-tree's nodding crest,
And even the nest beneath the eaves;--
There are no birds in last year's nest!

All things rejoice in youth and love,
The fullness of their first delight!
And learn from the soft heavens above
The melting tenderness of night.

Maiden, that read'st this simple rhyme,
Enjoy thy youth, it will not stay;
Enjoy the fragrance of thy prime,
For oh, it is not always May!

Enjoy the Spring of Love and Youth,
To some good angel leave the rest;
For Time will teach thee soon the truth,
There are no birds in last year's nest!

Track Name: A Fleeting Feeling (feat. Ujjesa Dhanak)
(written by Ujjesa Dhanak)

I had a fleeting feeling
once upon a while ago
as a statue with face lost
Washed away by the acid rain
no one remembers
me
swathed in the hazy
light of my life
bathed in the Milk and the Mud.
But who among us is really clean?
And who among us is really clean?
Questions directed to the sober
To the leaders
Grave faces mounted on walls
and lining the gutters
And words
to go with the faces on graves
I had a feeling, fleeting
And I stood it on its head
as mistakes
boldfaced and proud
I have been earning my badges
Shamelessly showing off
a shameful display
For who among us is really clean?
And who among us is dirty?
Questions directed to the masses
sweat drips, tear tracks on dusty faces
a glimmer in the eye
smothered by dirt
extinguished
And everything is dirty, dirty.
But who among us is really clean?
Don't ask me,
acid washed, broken
battered, torn,
polished,
shining.
I am a face in the gutter and on the wall
who speaks too much and not enough
a junkie, stumbling
who spews dirty words to become clean.
I
had a feeling
presence fleeting,
drowned in dirt
so they laid me to rest in their garden of suds.
Track Name: Rags Of Memories
Can't get used to this constant motion
Things are changing too fast
For someone who's mesmerized
By rags of memories

Dreamin' of your past
You were holy then, you're special now
Hopin' for a miracle
But knowin' it won't come true

Daylight is a nosy housemaid
Keep your tongue under lock and key
Bad dreams are prompted by
Spatial dichotomies

That's the way life goes

Holy ghost, I forgot your birthday
I truly thought it was May 14
We'll have a party to celebrate
The broken union of the stars

If you told me I was someone special
I'd have to laugh in your face
Cuz time likes to propagate
Billions of special babies

I'm sentimental, so complicated
Tryin' ta make sense of the world
Buy me a fucking birthday cake
And I'll count you among my friends

That's the way life goes
Track Name: It's Beginning To Smell A Lot Like Christmas
Do you smell that?
______________________________________________________

"A Visit from St. Nicholas" (by Clement Clarke Moore)

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there;
The children were nestled all snug in their beds;
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads;
And momma in her 'kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled our brains for a long winter's nap,
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow,
Gave a lustre of midday to objects below,
When what to my wondering eyes did appear,
But a miniature sleigh and eight tiny rein-deer,
With a little old driver so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment he must be St. Nick.
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name:
"Now, Dasher! now, Dancer! now Prancer and Vixen!
On, Comet! on, Cupid! on, Donner and Blitzen!
To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!
Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!"
As leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky;
So up to the housetop the coursers they flew
With the sleigh full of toys, and St. Nicholas too—
And then...
Track Name: Loved And Alone
11.28.2014

Friends flicker in and out
Kindness begets their arrival
Stay forever, won't you?
Please come back soon

Loneliness

Anxious for the beep
That signals the arrival
Of a form of a friend
Errr...
A friend in the form of...

A poor substitute

Yet at least I am not alone
Thoughts channel outward
Distracted by laughter from another world
Until...

Alone.

I try to drive out the black dogs with music
Though their yelps usually cause me to...

Dissolve

I'm so alone

Don't know why you'd think of me as your friend
When you inquire if I'm livin' in sin

If life has rules then I'll never begin
Reject, remove demons under my skin

Uh huh
Let's go
You got it
Woo!
Yeah
Once more
Uh!
Here we go!

Alright!
Track Name: Ready
11.13.2014

I am leaving the house
For the last time
Yet still I reach in my closet
For a jacket
To protect me
From the cold

As I walk
Through the streets I know so well
I fear nothing
I am invincible and mortal
At the same time

The Moon shines her blessings onto me
My figure, enlarged
No light can seep into me

No need to hurry
If God were here
I'd be dead already

Yes, I am ready
Track Name: Pleasure Palace
I had it all
I knew it all
I found it all
I kept it all

Then I hit a wall
It left me dazed and confused
Later I lost it all
Among the sprawl

Walk along the wall
I feel like I'm falling

Don't stand too tall
They'll shoot you down

You're in for a wild ride

I ask my heart questions everyday
There's sunshine on your face it's a beautiful day
I've been taking time everyday
I petition my mind for the right words to say
Track Name: Now What? (feat. Ujjesa Dhanak)
(written by Ujjesa Dhanak)

"What's your favorite fruit?" you ask, and she says she doesn't know. Says they all have a purpose in this wild adventure we've named life. That's an acceptable answer, for you, sure, but she isn't finished. She's thinking, brow furrowed, you can see there-in the furrows of thought there on her pretty forehead, seedling ideas being grown. Life from life, the circle continues, and from her spirals ever upward. What a beautiful being.

She's ready with a new answer, her voice reaches you from far away. You were lost in the fertile land of her mind, and she's brought you back, and her answer is dragonfruit, and starfruit, and passionfruit. She says their names alone would be sustenance. Dragon. Star. Passion. Fruit. Simple words, but words that inspire you. Words that make you believe in something greater. Dragon. Star. Passion. Fruit. You watch her lips form the words, let her voice wash over you, and that alone invigorates you. You absentmindedly push the cup of coffee aside. You don't need it anymore. You aren't quite sure why you got it in the first place.
